Westheimer delivers integrated solutions for decision making at the global, corporate, and local levels.

During the past 30 years the ability to capture large amounts of data has grown exponentially in the energy industry.  For example, in the upstream oil & gas industry this exponential growth has resulted from increased acquisition technologies, such as 3D and 4D seismic, and the introduction of super computing power, such as the Linux cluster systems and associated data management technologies that permit fast loading, processing, and storage of these data.  Today significant budgets, measured in many millions of dollars, are allocated toward the objective of capturing this information in the field and its subsequent electronic processing and interpretation.

An E&P Data Management industry has evolved and grown over this period to service the needs of oil companies migrating to fast and effective methods of electronic storage, access, and retrieval.

In recent years the industry trend has been toward integrated solutions, where project planning, management, and implementation are a prerequisite to the establishment of a corporate data source that enhances and enables geoscientists to access and utilize its geophysical assets to maximum advantage.

This then provides the main reference source for exploration decision making.  The user is able to define an area of interest, select the appropriate objects, such as seismic lines, wells, etc., and to gather this data for subsequent processing, analysis, and interpretation.
