August 2010 – Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc has secured a short term contract with Repsol USA to provide GIS and Spatial Data Consulting Services.
Tom Ripley, Principal Consultant with Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc is providing Spatial Data Architecture, Process Modeling and GIS training to the E&P teams for Gulf of Mexico and Latin America. He is also implementing a new ESRI SDE Spatial Data repository as well as assisting in the architecture and implementation of a new ESRI Web based Map service for Repsol Enterprise in conjunction with Repsol head office in Madrid. This should lead to many more opportunities for Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc and Ltd in the foreseeable future.

July 2010 – Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc registered in Houston, Texas, USA. Offices have been established on Westheimer Road in Houston (see the Contact Us page for more detail). Gary Lundeen has been appointed as President of Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc.

June 2010 – Westheimer Energy Consultants has participated in the 72^nd EAGE international conference in Barcelona, Spain. Our attendance at this key industry conference afforded Westheimer the opportunity to evaluate industry trends with respect to E&P data management, changing standards, new technologies and to exchange information with other key industry players and participants, interested in all aspects of Petrotechnical Data Management. CEO, Jeffrey Maskell, held specific discussions with Energistics with regard to current data standards and National Data Repositories and with Digital Oilfield Solutions relating to production data and real time data management issues and with Troika International, related to their recent launch of its Marlin data crawler and management software, which compliments its existing Magma and Minima software data transcription and QC software suite. During the conference Westheimer also established a partnership with Working – Smart a key industry recruitment and personnel resources agency.

March 2010 – Westheimer Energy Consultants has been chosen by SAIC UK and awarded a consultancy contract to support and underpin SAIC’s efforts in respect of the forward development of its Petrotechnical data management services and in relation to strategic and technical advice on a number of SAIC Petrotechnical Data Management projects.
